When
I was 6, my mother was very keen that I play the piano. Two years of lessons made little progress. Father came to the rescue with a
snare drum and cymbal. They seemed to be more natural to play to me. And
of course they made more noise! At
11, we bought more kit so that I could play in the local pantomime (Oh no
you didn’t.....oh yes I did!) At 13, I was playing at the local holiday park for ballroom dancing
in a large damp tent (surely “grand marquee”? - Ed) I
was fortunate to grow up during the unforgettable era of “the
sixties”:- (if you can
remember it all you probably weren’t there!)
This culminated with some fun times with “The Croaky Jones Rock
Band” - a long forgotten
Exeter based four piece. Since
then I have been involved in a number of bands playing all styles from
strict tempo dance music to jazz via rock & roll. Great variety and
always with talented and entertaining musicians. Blurred
Vision is a fantastic band because we play, to a good standard, a wide
variety of musical styles. And because we all appreciate and work off each
other’s talents, the synergy grows.
We’re a happy band too. That comes across. So come along and hear us. Catch the first set for some catchy songs and a bit of jazz. Catch us later for rock, soul and blast off! Ted
